Top Pick – Quick Dialer

Let’s face it…calling your wife or your best friend on your Pre/Pixi is not as easy as it should be. My old Instinct showed me a picture of each person on my speed dial list. Click the picture and away it went.

With the new Palms you have to remember which number you stored them under. Once you have that you have to hold that number down until it registers it as a quick dial. In 1.3.1 thankfully this time period was greatly shortened, but it is still a pain.

So to fix this problem five brave developers created apps. I reviewed them all to see which was the best and found that Quick Dialer from Yellowfin Solutions was the best of the bunch. What put it a cut above was a single tap. The interface design allows you to call or text your favorite people with a single click rather than the two most of the apps took. It also helps that Quick Dialer looks good while it is doing it’s thing.

To see how this whole thing shook out, please take a look at the full review.

flattr this!

Seems that the update to webOS 1.3.1 broke the contact picture functionality of some of the speed dial apps. Quick Dialer is the only app left that hasn’t issued a fix for this yet. Hopefully there is a fix for this soon because it really is a great app!
