Top Pick – Paratrooper

As the webOS SDK gets more and more powerful over the months and years, the complexity of the applications and most notably the games will undoubtedly skyrocket. This will definitely have some benefits, but it will also have some negatives…namely increased cost and confusion for the non-hardcore audience (my guess is, the benefits will win the day though).

Until the SDK is upgraded a bit, the games remain blissfully simple and easy to pickup and enjoy. Paratrooper, by Rob Bredow, is a perfect example of this. It has loads and loads of personality and is a crazy amount of fun. The game costs $1.99 on the App Catalog and should be purchased by everyone who enjoys fun. For those of you who don’t enjoy fun…well, I don’t know what to tell you. Perhaps you can use your Pre as a paperweight?

One very cool thing is, I have it on VERY good authority that a new version of this great game is coming down the pipe and it will include sounds (including a satisfying squish), more levels, and new challenges. You should see this update in the coming days.

You can read my full review of this great game right here.

flattr this!
