Colors

This is another addition to the FreeApptastic group of applications, and this app, ‘Colors’, is short and sweet.

‘Colors’ allows the user to choose a Base Color and a Web Safe Color.  Regular webOS users really won’t find any use with this application, except to show off that the screen can handle thousands of colors on the screen. However, developers will probably be interested in this app, if they need a quick hexadecimal value off a color grid for their web and graphic designs.

The application is designed from a developer at Changeinflux.com. The site is simple and well laid out, and you can visit their site for more information and support.

Even for a quick application that caters to developers, there are a few options that I would like to see if there are any future updates. When using the color wheel, a preview of the color will hover the area you are touching on the screen, but after you release, the preview is gone, and wont display any other preview unless you are touching the screen.

I would also like to see (if possible) an option to load a picture and find the color you want. This is probably not possible through the current SDK, but there are many applications out there that have different capabilities…therefore anything is possible.

In conclusion, the app gets a 7 out of 10, because it’s straight to the point with no mucking around in menus to get a simple answer. Hopefully these ideas will reach the developer and continue to increase its capabilities.

flattr this!
