Palm Pre Plus Awarded “2010 Phone of the Year” by Phone News
Just recently, G4TV’s “Attack of the Show” program awarded the Palm Pre Plus their first perfect score ever. Today, we were met with another glowing set of accolades from PhoneNews.com as they named the Palm Pre Plus the 2010 Phone of the Year. Their article quickly points out that, although “times haven’t been fair to Palm,” that their vote was NOT cast “out of sympathy,” and then goes on to praise all the wonderful features of webOS.
Besting competitors from the recent past (Motorola Droid) and near future (HTC Supersonic), the Pre Plus achieved a distinction that, according to PhoneNews, guarantees users their Pre Plus is at the “top of the heap” for the rest of 2010. Hopefully savvy shoppers take that to heart and buy the phone based on merit (not to mention INCREDIBLY low price on Amazon!), and not buy into all the negative hype surrounding Palm’s financial woes.
As for PhoneNews’ claim that the Pre Plus will be at “the top of the heap for the rest of the year, ” we don’t know about all that. After all, Palm is releasing a new webOS device later this year, aren’t they? ;)
