Pixelpipe Review
I take a lot of pictures. Especially of my children.
And their grandparents and great-grandparents all want copies. And, of course, I want to share them with all of my social networks. So what do I have to do? I have to send an e-mail to a dozen or so addresses.
Every. Single. Time.
And there’s always that one person (or network) that doesn’t get the picture, and they feel all left out, and I have to explain why I forgot them (Ed: been there… never ends well).
But no more!
With Pixelpipe ($1.99 in the App Catalog), I enter each e-mail address or social network ONCE and I’m done. And did I mention they support over 100 different networks?
This is how it works: You setup your account, link whichever social networks or e-mail addresses you want and label them all with simple names. Then, with your fancy Pixelpipe app on your Pre or Pixi you simply select the picture, video or file of your choosing then click submit.
Like magic, Pixelpipe sends it to all of your chosen destinations.
Don’t want to share the picture with everyone? You can toss in routing tags at the bottom: @twitter @mom etc.
But that’s not all:
- They also support status updates.
- Have multiple Twitter accounts? You can update all of them at once with the same post.
- And they also support blogs. Personally, I don’t feel comfortable writing an entire blog in an app. I prefer something with some sort of ‘save’ function. But it’s there if you want it.
And as far as I can tell you can’t upload pictures with the blog text. Which is odd, as it’s a picture uploader service.
Simple? Yes.
Useful? Without a doubt.
- Quick, simple, uploading of pictures (and more) to ALL of your social networks
- No way to upload pictures with your blog posts
If you take pictures and like sharing them this is the app for you.
