Flash 10.1 Demoed Again on Palm Pre at Adobe Keynote at FITC in Toronto

Despite discouraged whispers that Flash 10.1 beta may be delayed for webOS, we’ve always maintained based on our intel that things appear to be on track. Earlier, we wrote an article about a tip from Adobe Flash Platform Evangelist Mark Doherty, claiming that Adobe Flash 10.1 beta is still on track for the first half of 2010. Still, there have been doubters, especially considering the fact that there’s lots of talk of Adobe coming to Android without a word mentioned about webOS yea or nay.
Well, this may be a positive sign: at FITC 2010 in Toronto yesterday, Flash 10.1 was demoed not only on a Motorola Droid but also a Palm Pre. There’s no video stream of this yet, but as soon as we find any, we’ll post it here. Anyway… just an FYI. ;)
Oh and by the way: ”FITC” stands for “Flash In The Can.” … We’re not making that up.
UPDATE! Thanks to reader prelover29 who was at the event, we have a field report. According to his unbiased (heh heh) opinion, Flash ran smoother on the Pre than on the Droid and even Nexus One. Check out the comments below for a link to his video … he apologizes in advance for the quality of the video. :)
