Great news for all of you 3D game fans! ExZeus arcade by HyberDevBox is now available in the App Catalog! As we mentioned in our previous post about it, this game looks pretty darn good.
Unfortunately, if you are not running webOS 1.4.5, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. You must be running 1.4.5 in order to play the game. Looks like webOS users in the US are out of luck for now.
HyperDevBox also issued a press release today, which highlighted a few features. Two points stood out to us. First, they mentioned that ExZeus has 16 channels of sound with 3D sound support. Secondly, they stated that ExZeus demonstrates that webOS games came be the same quality as those on the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP. With new developers creating PDK games for webOS, we hope to see many new examples of that last point.
One last little tidbit that was mentioned in the release, was that HyperDevBox is already planning on releasing more webOS games this year. If this game turns out to be as incredible as it looks, webOS gamers are going to have some good stuff to look forward to.
For the readers in our audience who have 1.4.5 and have downloaded this game, we’d love to hear your impressions. Be sure to leave a comment here or in our forums.

That is one of the better looking games in the marketplace, and hopefully just the beginning of a wave of good ones. When can US users expect 1.4.5?
Before 2.0
I hope….
Looks a bit frenetic. How much was actual aiming? Anyway, I have 6 games that I haven't finished but they're fun to demo nonwebos users. So I can wait for 1.4.5.
From the looks of it, you lean it forward to go down and back to go up, kinda like a flight stick. the default aim appears to be just firing straight in front of you, where ever you are, tilting to left and right to move. with the left thumb he was triggering an auto target lock on to mobs on screen, hitting it 3 to 4 times to get multiple locks before firing with the right thumb.
The more I watched it again and again, the funner it looks. I just like how smoooth it looked and fast it ran. I know I won't be playing this on my Pixi thats for sure. Can't wait for that nextgen webOS phone.
