Facebook Beta 1.4 is now available

Facebook version 1.4 has just been released and it brings a nice new feature – the ability to open multiple Facebook cards. This is great news and will allow you to continue to multitask unhindered to your hearts content! We’re also hoping that this version might iron out a few of the bugs that have plagued some users in the last release.

Update: Seasoned developer Zhephree let us know that you can meta-tap any link to open it in a new card. Very cool.

Thanks @benfysh for the original tip off!

flattr this!

Not only does the nav menu let you open a whole new card, but performing a meta+tap on any link opens it in a new card.

“so you can instantly view Facebook info in your Contacts app.”
Another new feature of WebOS 2.0?

Now all we need is a webOS 2.0 update. I mean, if the Pre2 is being released with 2.0 in France this Friday, why not roll out a webO S2.0 update to the U.S.?

Judging by Engadget’s review Palm hasn’t worked out all the bugs yet. Josh had some oddness with Google syncing. Better to test it on a small market, right?

I still wouldn’t be surprised to see a homebrew version of 2.0 stuffed into a Pre 1 by next week. Get that Doctor online, Palm.
