Astraware has been developing games for Palm handsets for a long time! Over the years they have given us more than a fistful of timeless games. Despite webOS being a small platform this awesome development house continues to bring apps to our beloved OS. So we are happy to pass along a little press release for their newest webOS app Astraware Majong!

Astraware Mahjong is a full-featured Mahjong Solitaire game that includes these unique features:

  • AutoZoom – optional feature which zooms in or out from the play area automatically based on the number of tiles remaining. (Players can also zoom manually using pinch/zoom)
  • Mahjong of the Day daily challenge – play the featured day’s puzzle at your chosen difficulty level and once completed, submit your time to compare with other players worldwide
  • Truly solvable puzzles at Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty levels, as well as Classic – traditional Mahjong puzzles where a straightforward solution is not guaranteed.

Plus:

  • Full tutorial with photos to help you learn how to play
  • More than 30 different puzzle layouts
  • Fun achievements – earn them all to unlock the Golden Tile Set
  • Optional tile highlighting – removable tiles appear lighter in colour. This can be adjusted in Settings
  • Helpful assistance features including the ability to shuffle the tiles or undo moves

You should have a feature on the WOR app that tells us what device these apps are available on. I’m tired of having to load up the website to check if it’s available on my Pixi.

Jeez how many webOS apps have to be wallpaper, games, or infantile collections of soft porn pics or screensavers.

Where can I find data on the proportion of webOS apps in various categories? I would like to obtain an estimate of how many apps are e.g. games, how many are productivity, how many are screensaver or picture libraries and so forth. I’d also like to know the proportion of free to paid apps. Does anyone know where to find this “breakdown” for webOS apps? Thanks.
