Pre 2 Getting Some Canadian Love

Well it seems like Canada will be the first country to have the Pre 2 offered through a carrier since the initial launch on SFR France. We just got a hot little tip where one of our readers spotted a Pre 2 at a Rogers store in Winnipeg, MB. It appears that the Pre 2 in these shots and the short little video our tipster sent is a dummy unit, but it is definitely indicative of things to come. Our tipster was told by the sales rep in the store that they started training on the Pre 2 last Thursday and should start selling the Pre 2 in January. We all know that sales reps are not always the most accurate with information like this, but in this circumstance we would have to say this looks like a surefire deal. So all of our Canadian readers should get ready for a little Pre 2 action coming your way! In the mean time here are a couple shots and a video our tipster sent us as proof.

    Please let this be released soon. That’s a little more encouraging than my wireless wave run in last week. Curious to see how public reaction will be to this unit and if HP has a proper marketing campaign setup in canada – otherwise known as Blackberry & iphone land!

    HP/PALM is far to late getting new hardwear out. So many have left for the EVO and many more will follow. I love the WebOs and I’m still waiting but I don’t know how long my year old Pre will last.

    Well, you walk into a store and you ask about webOS devices, and every one of them wants to give you an android. They are very bias. I love messing with them, telling them that WebOS is voted best operating system, and everyone is waiting for new hardware. Patience is a vertue.

    I am Canadian but even I know that France was the first country to have the Pre 2 available on contract MONTHS before anyone else.

    Why no love for us CDMA users? Damn Nunavut had to go with CDMA towers instead of GSM, looks like i’ll be with my Pre for a little while longer.

      Yes, Palm has said that Flash comes built into webOS 2.0 and that you have the option to turn it on/off at will to control how smooth your browser runs.

      Yes the Pre2 has Flash. Both of our british members can tell you that from first hand experience. All webOS 2.0 and higher devices will have flash except for the Pixi

        I agree, WTF palm why can’t you sell the CDMA Pre 2 like you do the GSM version? I’d buy that in a heartbeat right now.

    The Pre2 is going to be awesome Stateside just wait and you will be rewarded. Kind of feel sorry that all of my friends are getting Droids and are scared to overclock them.

    All WebOS news is good news aside from the media side-swipe from Apple and Fox to boost sales. Looking forward to the Pre2 here to as well. So long as they do not sell it in Bangor only (polite note it is not ban-gore, or bang-her extend the “r”!) apologize have the Maine Irish accent. Hate how phone reps only roll it out to the Batsies or the Colby’s. Never budging on price drops.
