webOS Devs: Get a Free Icon Design for Your Apps! (Some of You Need It)

By: , 1/24/2011 12:47 pm | 3 comments

Devs, we feel all dirty inside for saying this but, some of you need to work on your icons. Like, yesterday. An icon speaks volumes for your app, good or bad. If you have a great talent for writing apps but lack the graphic design skills, have no fear, because your amigos at webOSroundup may have found someone to help you.

Just recently, Rhyne Media posted a tweet offering their free services (until queue is full) to design an app icon for you. Just drop them a line. Please. You know who you are.

I think that’s awesome! I wonder if it’s in relation to the 100 some odd apps released all at once that flooded out the what’s new section of the app catalogue.

Small thought when releasing that many at once: Maybe offer just one for free so people know it’s worthy? Out of 100 released, it’s not gonna break the bank lol.

Agreed makes my work harder with an rpg. Decided not to do text. Demon Hunter should get a good icon.

Is this offer still valid? I am working on a new app and need an icon.
