Want a little TouchPad goodness? After seeing this video you won’t care what it costs

Engadget posted up a little demo vid of the TouchPad in action. For most of the video they are simply showing off the graphical prowess of the device, but then at the end the guy gets a text message on the Pre 3 in his pocket and it automatically shows up on the TouchPad through their bluetooth connections.

I don’t know about you, but that is waaaay sexier than anything I saw Apple show off today. Just sayin’.

Engadget has a second video in the article showing a qualcomm exclusive game that looks pretty.. so pretty…

  • firebrewd

This looks really nice. I’m waiting to see the polished version of 3.0, you know, with smooth transitions and everything. Can’t wait!

The best part is how the Pre 3 and TouchPad communicate. My buddy’s iPhone and iPad have no idea they are on the same planet. Stupid apple.

    • Steven

Haha how do you like thoes apples…lol

Yeeeah syncing text messages blows the pants off of everything Apple showed today. LOL, you live a sad and bitter life.

    • Johndoe

apple had an event today… Oh ya… Yaaawn. Btw, the personal attacks on a complete stranger really helps to bolster your case….

I was afraid to show my enthusiasm about the touchpad at first dreading that apple was gonna blow it away now I want a touchpad so bad it hurts. Wouldn’t it be awesome if instead of an HP event about eco-system it was a surprise launch of the new products on March 14th.

      GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

  • Jim

Exclusive 4 to 5″ 4g slab for sprint to make good with original pre owners

    • Zevo

Exclusive shouldn’t be in hp’s vocabuary right now. They need to get as many devices to as many carriers as posible. They need to saturate the market so that people will choose who they use not what they use.

      • Mic

I agree whole heartedly!! HP should pimp out their devices to everyone at once. One massive launch day on every carrier. Unfortunately, the carriers will NEVER agree to this.

    • JDM

Well, your comment isn’t in the right place…

      • Zevo

        Why?

Every time I see the launcher hesitate I throw up a little in my mouth. Have you seen the ipad 2 videos? Damn near instantaneous, even the app switching it fast to the point of ridiculousness. I feel like HP is going to have trouble making a case for this device in the market honestly. Hopefully they sell enough to start getting some traction with Dev’s, the Enyo framework is nice.

Yes, Touchpad has to be optimized before its summer release. (we can’t have same experience as webOS 1.x introduction in stock devices)
Other tablets like Xoom is already getting reviews of being “beta” in some features. So it’s not always best to be the first released.

Too bad I can’t watch the video on my pre plus. Fail.
