Waiting to get your hands on developing apps for the Touchpad? Well, the wait is over: HP has announced they are releasing the webOS 3.0 Beta SDK with Enyo support to the Early Access developer program at the webOS Connect Event in London today.

Along with the announcement, HP has put up a new developer portal at http://developer.hpwebos.com (which bounces to developer.palm.com).

Our own Ryan Machin is in London covering the event live. Catch his tweets on our Live Event Twitter Feed here.

More updates as they become available!

Thanks Ryan!

flattr this!

Schweet. C’mon, HP… pedal to the metal!!!!

I hope HP knows they need a cell phone company to carry their phones. Have a feeling the carriers don’t want to be the first one in the pool with HP. I’m done withe the waiting and lack of news. HTC here I come. Go blow yourself HP.

No more ‘appy talk. I have less app utility on my Pre than I did on my old Palm Centro w/ Iambic’s time management software. Hp may need to fund the app developers if they want keep my 13 year commitment to the Palm legacy.

Yeah, I definitely don’t like this Enyo business. It just seems like WebOS won’t be the same WebOS I fell in love with for too much longer. We’ll see though.

Before I can judge it I really need to use a webOS device. Everyone else seems to love it so there has to be a good reason!

    • Jdubbs33

Yeah, I hear you. I can only judge by what I have seen and that’s the loss of the gesture area in the TP and talk that future WebOS apps will lose that because Enyo won’t or can’t support it, for example. I guess I am just nervous more than anything, but your point is absolutely valid. We have to use it before we can have a truly informed opinion.

Good idea but what about people who uses palm pre? In México and other countries palm pre is working now but can’t be updated to 1.4.5 or 2.0. H.P we are waiting.
