Carbon for webOS Twitter App Going to the App Catalog

By: , 4/5/2011 6:59 pm | 21 comments

The folks behind the very popular and much-loved beta-version of the Carbon for webOS Twitter app let everyone know via Twitter that they will be submitting Carbon for webOS to the HP App Catalog today. We look forward to its release and we will bring you a full app review as soon as humanly possible.

So will you buy it when it hits the App Catalog? If so, what is it that makes you choose Carbon over the many other Twitter apps out there?

If ts not also free in the app catalog I’ll simply return to Bad Kitty which I’ve already bought and paid for. Until I see new Sprint hardware I will not invest more $ in webOS. I feel for devs because I know I’m not alone and they’re struggling to make a go of it and support the community. However if there’s no Sprint device by the time the Evo 3D ships I may make the leap as I need better hardware.

Carbon rocks. I just didged my iPhone (literally, broken glass) en bought a second hand Pre (in the Netherlands the Pre isn’t officially sold). Looking for a good Twitter client I stumbled upon Carbon beta. I love the conversation view, it is quick and has great navigation. It is better than all the twitter clients I had for the iPhone. Carbon could be one of the reason’s to stick with the Palm. What Gravity is to the Nokia smartphones, Carbon is for Palm/HP. So, would I pay for it? Definitely.

It’s a real bummer that these Carbon devs can’t hit a deadline to save their life.. Ever since first announced, they’ve blown every release date they’ve announced and badly! They have played the wolf wolf game over and over with us. So many weeks have gone by that he’s said every week a release was coming that I’ve all but decided the Pre3 will hit shelves before Carbon does.. wish he’d stop falsely giving release dates and just shock the socks off everyone when it finally ever shows up!

I retract what I said.. poor guys ran into major issues with how they could get paid through paypal in their country with bank requirements, etc. but said its a bump in the road and they’ll find a way around it..
