Pre 2 Video Contest Finalists: Stuntman Mark & Heiko Thies

We all know that the Pre 2 is a pretty sweet little device. Little did we know that when we created this contest that a former leader of the free world would actually take some time to create a video to win one.

Ladies and gentleman, please rise for the (former) President of the United States.

For our Most Original finalist of the day we have video from a different kind of celebrity. When we ran our first video contest, palmSpot, we had one video that became so popular it actually went viral and had over a million views on various sites. The maker of that video, and winner of our last contest, Heiko Thies, has created a new video so he can win a Pre 2.

I think the video speaks for itself.

Both of these videos are finalists in our “What would you do for a Pre 2″ contest where people from all over the world created videos showcasing their talents in an effort to win a Pre 2. We will be posting 2 finalists per day all this week.

Next week we will begin the voting process to see who wins the awesome new Pre 2s!

I give my nod to content, and in this case, the “screenplay” for GW is hilarious. Heiko’s production value was HOLY CRAP AWESOME but the Dubya skit was hilarious. And hey – if he used the original Pre to film the damn thing he OBVIOUSLY needs an updated phone. We’ve already cast OUR votes, so it’s up to you, webOS community! That was just my take. :P

G.W. That was funny although making fun of bush is all too easy, you did a good job and hit a lot of points. Also if you still have an original pre you get my vote you need need triple the memory at least!
Ninjas and smashing ipads awesome as well. But if you have an ipad and an ibook as it seems then you need an iphone not a palm. Love the video none the less and good ideas.

Okay, so the Bush impersonation isn’t the best I’ve seen, but it sure is funny.

Smashing the iPad? Okay, so lots of tricks and fun stuff, but, am I the only one that would have rather seen this one be a regular old vid where he actually smashes his iPad?

Thanks for all your comments so far! For those who asked about some specs: We shot our clip in about 2 hours, 3 days before the deadline. We used the Canon 550D (aka Rebel T2i) for all shots. The 3D model of the iPad we luckily found for free on turbosquid. All the ninjas were also acted out by my pal Patrick who´s starring in this clip. It was a very close call and we finished all the vfx work only a few hours before the deadline hit. I´m glad it worked out and that we reached the finals. I hope you all like it and I´m curios what other videos we still can expect in this contest.
