Rumor: HP Veer 4G Press Shots Leak… in White

PocketNow has apparently gotten their hands on AT&T press shots of the HP Veer 4G, which appears in white. It seems that nowadays a phone can’t be released unless it comes in white, so we guess this is a right of passage for webOS, seeing as this would mark the very first webOS device not decorated in black.

If you ask us, this does look legit because we see the “H+” icon in the status bar, indicating the HSPA+ the Veer 4G comes with, not to mention it shows it with a full 5-bar reception, and anything less would be marketing suicide for a cell phone carrier.

We’re wondering one thing though… How long after the black model is released will the white model be released? We’re hoping it will take less than 10 months, but that’s what the cool kids are doin’, right? Well it turns out PocketNow is saying it will launch “early next week” which coincides with those launch parties. Whether that’s information from a source or pure speculation has yet to be seen though.

    That looks pretty sweet. Not as good looking as a white iPhone 4, but better than just having the battery cover be white (*cough*android*cough*).

    I would love a white webos device but from the pic it’s not very appealing. HP needs to take note off the BB Torch because it’s white version looks awesome.

        Love the palm orange idea. I think the entire thing should be orange. Think folks would notice that in your hand or on the various tv shows it’s bound to be on

      Yeah, seeing it more and more is making me want a Pre 3 designed like that (and a TouchPad too!)

    Looks kinda cool, the pictures on my computer screen are MUCH larger than the size of the actual device (screen size is Pre3 based holding my Pre2 up against the screen. I am guessing, like the phone itself, it will be much cooler and look really nice in real life.

      True. I will have to see it in real life to be sure, but it sure isn’t what I would have wanted in a white option for the Veer. The picture makes it look like an afterthought. All white and white accents, maybe ivory?

    I think that really just displays how much bezel/cover there is compared to how little screen estate. I think it’ll look great on the Pre3 and Stingray, though.

    It dates, me but I LIKE the 2001 Space Odyssey look! Now it just needs some HAL ringtones, system alerts, etc.
