webOS Developer and Community Events Coming to Dallas, TX
If you have been reading webOSroundup for even a short time, you will remember the article we ran exactly one month ago titled “South Central U.S. webOS Developer Event“. In that article we took a poll for where you would attend a webOS developer event. Out of 86 responses, 41 were for Austin, 34 for Dallas, 4 for Oklahoma City (it was worth a shot) and 10 for Kansas City. Deciding where to have the event wasn’t easy, in the end we felt Dallas would provide the best opportunity for the most people to make it to the event since it is centrally located between all the choices. So here is the big announcement you have been waiting for, but instead of just one event it is actually TWO events on the same day in the same city, a developer event and a webOS community event (that means you don’t have to be a developer to attend). We hope to see you there.
Date for both events: Friday, July 22nd, 2011
Event #1: webOS Developer Event: Enyo Development and more
Location: Addison Conference Center
Time: 1-5 p.m. CST
RSVP is required for this event as seating is limited to the first 50 respondents. All pre-event instructions will be provided in response to the RSVP via email.
Event #2: webOS Community Meet-up
Location: Blackfinn American Saloon, Addison TX
Time: 6-9 p.m. CST
RSVP is preferred but not required. Some appetizers (maybe more) will be provided. We will be there during Happy Hour so many drinks will be half price as well as Burgers, Pizzas and Appetizers for only $6.
Door prizes will be given away at the close of the community event. You will want to stick around for those (trust me). You must be present to win.
Please send all RSVP’s to [email protected]. Make sure and indicate in the subject line whether it is for the Developer event, Community event or both.
If you are on Twitter then make sure and send a special thank you to webOS fan and community member @TeckieGirl as she is helping with all of the preparation on the ground for these events.
Stay tuned to webOSroundup for any important updates for these events.
One last thing, HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
