Word on the Street: Hulu WORKS on the HP TouchPad! (For now…)

By: , 6/28/2011 1:50 pm | 10 comments

We’ve received numerous tips from people experimenting in the interwebs who found out that Hulu works on the TouchPad! On the surface, this isn’t much of a surprise as Hulu runs on Flash (sorry, iPad users). The important thing here is that Hulu often shuts down mobile browser access to content.

We’re not talking about an app here, nor are we certain website access is officially supported. Our suggestion is for new users to go for it while you can. If the TouchPad isn’t supported yet, a show of force may cause Hulu to consider officially supporting the platform. Of course, it may also cause them to shut it off faster, too.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

flattr this!

Hulu always works on new devices, the it gets blocked. Ask the PS3 and the Playbook how long it takes.

It will be block soon. The thing we need is a browser identity scrambler patch.

I don’t get why Hulu, CBS, or otherwise are so interested in blocking mobile users.   Do mobile devices really drag down these services providers that badly.   I think anything is possible with the right technology and maybe HP is working deals to make Hulu, Netflix or otherwise happen on webOS.   Either way, I’m excited!  Sorli…

Hulu is built into the “Just Type” feature of webOS 3.0. I don’t think its an accident you can play the videos. Go check it out in a store… its there.
