To our developer friends across the pond, here’s an interesting opportunity. BlueVia is a global developer platform from Telefonica that helps developers take apps, web services, and ideas to market. They’ll be hosting a “HackEvening” in London on July 11. HP will also be sending webOS engineers to help out. Feel like doing some live coding? Well then check out their press release below!

Beer, Pizza, HP TouchPads and API’s, what more could you need?

Come meet with HP WebOS and BlueVia Engineers, meet like minded developers and hack together some Apps using BlueVia API’s!

Speed is the name of the game for this event as we only have three hours, you need to arrive ready to code:

Prerequisites for the event:

  1. Download, install and configure the WebOS 3.0 SDK
  2. Register on BlueVia.com
  3. Read the documentation and sample code on BlueVia.com

We may contact you in the future regarding BlueVia and WebOS events.

Nice!  I was looking to use them for Ads since AdMob doesn’t seem to be working anymore.

Since Telefonica is from Spain and they did carry de Pre-, can I assume this could mean they’ll bring the Pre3 to Spain?

Despite having no programming experience whatsoever, I was really tempted to go as I am eager to learn. Sadly as events turn out, can’t make it now :( hope they host another one in UK again. May I suggest Manchester?
