Spotify Launches in the U.S., webOS Version Reportedly Ready
Our friends in the U.K. have had the pleasure of enjoying Spotify for webOS since late last year, while all of us in the states waited patiently for the popular music streaming service to come to the U.S. Well, the wait is over- Spotify today announced it is launching in the U.S. and is accepting invitations for its free service. Premium and unlimited options starting at $4.99 a month can get you in ahead of the queue and offer offline listening and streaming to mobile phones.
HP’s Richard Kerris sent a tweet today indicating HP is currently working on the U.S. version of the webOS app, so we should see it pop in the app catalog any day now. WOR contributor Dan Kirby really liked the U.K. version of app, and we can only guess the U.S. version will look and function the same way. No word yet on a TouchPad version, but we can only hope!
Stay tuned.
UPDATE: @Adora from HP has tweeted that it’s here. Check out the screenshot…
