Everything Channel Attendees Receive Free TouchPads

By: , 8/11/2011 3:28 pm | 8 comments

Need a little more evidence that HP is doing all it can to put the TouchPad into as many hands as possible? Around 350 attendees of an HP keynote at the XChange America’s conference in Denver, Colorado, all took home free TouchPads! The event is hosted by Everything Channel which organizes relationship building events for IT professionals across the U.S.

The HP keynote was part of a “Cloud Computing Boot Camp” which also included keynotes by Microsoft, among others.

You can follow the camp of happy XChange America’s attendees via the #XAM11 Twitter hashtag.

This is the sort of thing we love to see from HP, as it makes headway into the hearts of those who have yet to experience the magic of webOS on the TouchPad.

I concur, very nicely done. Let’s get it in everyone’s hands. Esp the legacy owners, that would totally “make things right.”

I don’t want to be a pessimist. My touchpad for $299 is a great deal. However, I wonder if this 7″ device is the future of webOS and this tablet in my hands they just want to dump into the marketplace anyway they can. Isn’t it, after all, just a slate they were afraid wouldn’t sell? I’ll definitely buy a 7″ go, but just wondering if it’s already a dated device with a bit of an unfinished feel.
