QuickOffice HD now available!! Download now for document editing goodness.

By: , 8/29/2011 3:30 pm | 30 comments

Big day in the exciting world of document editing on the TouchPad. First we learned that Picsel Smart Office is coming in just over a month, and now we learn that Quickoffice HD is making its way onto TouchPads as we speak.

The new version allows us to finally create and edit documents right on our device.

To get the new version simply open your TouchPad’s software manager and get the update!

This has been, easily, the biggest feature that has been missing from webOS 3 and the TouchPad. Glad to see the hole finally plugged up.

Update: Here is the official post from the Quickoffice blog

flattr this!

hopefully you are a perfect speller, there is no spell check on this thing ;(

      • Phoenix1801

Speller correction will be updated soon. Ya know, maybe it’s good that it’s not there right now, so you could teach yourself how to put words together. And once you learn, you could feel really proud of yourself. Never happy, complain, complain, complain, GGGGGEEEeeeeezzzzz!!!!!

Nice to have. I believe there is an app that lets you turn doc files to pdf too right? HP GET A CLUE! Just start production back up and sell at firesale prices or 16GB for $200 and 32gb for $250 and keep on dominating the tablet market. HP Board needs to rethink.

sell something that costs $300 for $200? somebody else needs to rethink.

Right on time…..today is my first day of class for the fall semester and I can use my TP in class. Good job.

This coupled with the HP TP BT keyboard (oh, and Box.net) will mean the laptop goes in the closet. : )

went to software manager and saw the update there– awesome!

Very good news. A little late for me though. I still am not clear on why they could not make it work on the Pre+. Haven’t been able to get a TouchPad (yet) so had to pick up a Gal.Tab to tide me over. If the Pad’s editing is as good as what DataVis has it’s shure to be a winner.

so, like, where the heck is it ??  I had the QO 1.01.1 on the pre3 when it came, but find it nowhere on the hp app catalog …the app itself has an update on the pulldown, but says it’s up to date …wtf??
