Supersonic HD for Free? Palm Blog Says YES [UPDATE - US code used up; UPDATE 2 - Canada and UK too]

Upset you couldn’t get Supersonic HD for free yesterday? Well today there’s another promo code for Supersonic HD, well, five actually: US, Canada, Germany, UK, and France.

Go ahead, grab Supersonic HD before the promo codes run out! They expire September 24th at 12:01am (presumably GMT) or when inventory runs out. Not only did they include Supersonic HD for free, they had a little fun at Rebecca Black’s expense, making a joke about today being Friday.

Eligibility Requirements: HP employees, HP reseller partners, HP customers and HP webOS developer partners are eligible to use the Weekly App Promo codes. Promo participants require a TouchPad with a current functioning user profile; with credit card purchasing enabled. The promo codes above will expire on 9/24/11 at 12:01 am PST. Promo codes are available for as long as inventories last.

Customers with an existing promo credit in their account may be unable to redeem these codes, and the price of the app will be deducted from their current credit.

To redeem this offer select the desired app for purchase in the HP App catalog, selecting the option to purchase using a promo code, and when prompted enter the promo code. No charges will be made against your credit card, but you will receive a receipt.

      I wrote the article within minutes of the blog post going up on the Palm blog, so when I wrote this the US code was still good. When the article got pushed, I’m not sure if the US code was still good (as an editor published the article), but I know it was good when I wrote the article.

      Without direct knowledge there is no way to be certain but I would estimate 1000 to 5000. I know two developers who had at least 5000 uses of promo codes on their $5/copy apps, James Harris with FlashCards and IngloriousApps with Glimpse.

    These promo codes suck!  Give us something that actually last more then an hour.  At least a day would be nice.  Makes you feel like you lost out!!

    Bill hewlett and co. is partially responsible for why each and every one of us are using today, 1968, HP release the first mass market PC ever. Touchpad is a superstar. Please, do something bout it. Release pre3. My fren say ‘webos is some kind of piece of s***.’ i say no. HP IS.. We are disapoint

    What about Spain? There’s some user base here too… Palm sold some phones here… I bought a day one Pre-, now I have a Pre2 and 2 TPs, and I can’t even use the Kindle app because it says it’s not available in my country… Wtf HP?
