The core Google Maps app has been replaced with a shiny new Bing Maps app on all webOS phones. Building off the TouchPad Maps app the phone Maps app brings more features, improved speed and a better interface. You can hear about it on this week’s preNote.

You can listen to this and every preNote in the following ways:

What are preNotes?
preNotes are short audio clips (typically between 5 – 10 minutes) that give you tips on how to better use your Palm Pre. They are released each week and cover a wide array of helpful tips so that you too can become a webOS ninja.

What I really want to know is what happened to that Zinio Magazine app? Everybody needs to call or e-mail those guys over there and make them honor that deal to have a app for us webOSers.

Don’t like the Bing Maps. Rarely can find my location. Miss the google application

Bing Maps should be banned. At least for users in the Netherlands. Tried to find my way from a busstop to a friends house. Complete buildings and streets were missing. In a major town. Luckily they were visible on satelite. Give me back Google please
