webOS Weekly Hack Week 2 – Show Your Exhibitionist Side

By: , 10/13/2011 11:16 am | 4 comments

As Week 1 of the webOS Weekly Hack draws to a close another begins with Exhibition Mode being the feature on display this week.  Your mission should you choose to accept, code, and compile it is to create an app that utilizes Exhibition mode in an interesting way.  A few suggestions are offered on the blog entry, such as “realtime weather map…a list of tweets posted to a hashtag during a party…a music visualizer…a webcam display?”  Really, the sky is the limit on what you can create.

The same rules apply, except of course for the fancy 32 GB Touchpad that will be given away for week one.  This time around, developers will have to settle for fame and notoriety among their peers.  Official rules and regs can be hit up on the source link below.  So get to hackin’ and get yourself some fame! Your 15 minutes begins….now!

Because I like WebOS for the way it functions for schedules and contact information, how about something that looks a little like Glimpse, but instead of RSS feeds, maybe has a favorite picture in one window, your daily schedule in another window, and the contact information for the people involved in your current and next meetings. Just a thought…
