HP TouchPad 32GB Shows Up On Woot! And Best Buy?

By: , 1/27/2012 9:43 am | 17 comments

Just when you thought our beloved TouchPad has been wiped from every store and warehouse shelf on the planet, we occasionally see a batch of them pop up from time to time. Today’s Woot! deal of the day just happens to be a 32GB HP TouchPad for $219.99. Although they’re refurbished stock, the deal is too good to pass up!

Even Best Buy is getting into the action. I captured this photo of a full priced 32GB TouchPad earlier this week at a store in the Chicago area.

Don’t want to pay full price? Grab that Woot! deal now before they’re gone!

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

flattr this!

Not a bad price really, but then I already own two (2) 32gb TP and love what they have.   Only problem I have with these is the refurb and 90-day warranty.   Anyone with experience buying a refurb TP?  Sorli…

I wouldn’t buy one. I don’t think it’s worth it for the 90 day warranty. Though I love my touchpad it’s had hardware issues that come up. We may love the software, but HP really let me down when it comes to the hardware. It’s most certainly not worth full price even new. I’m glad I only paid $99 for mine.

    I order one…. Let see in 5 days……..

Does refurbished mean they either taped or glued together the cracked plastic around the speakers?

    • Malette

I’ve had mine for a while now and no speaker cracks. Now the screen coming up out of the casing is another story. Anyone exprienced that?

      • PalmOn

        Wow!

They keep finding these things.  I wonder how.  Lol.

Because, unlike the people that claim all the Touchpads sold out long ago with the last sold off during the HP/eBay sale, there are still thousands of these things hanging out in warehouses new and refurb.

The fact they keep popping up is pretty telling. Not to mention the growing numbers on the eBay aftermarket.

How come no one here has written about Jon Rubinstein leaving HP?

Probably because of lack of info or maybe even webOSRoundup is trying to score an interview!

I’d love that and would appreciate hearing directly from the man.   Either way, I hope he does well and thanks for helping bring Palm back and envisioning webOS!  Sorli…

I am doubting anyone will be able to find him for an interview. And even if they do find him, he would probably say he would be happy to grant an interview in the coming months…

      • Terence Perry

The Verge already had a great interview with him…on Friday.

        • PalmOn

Yup. You’re right. I just read it. And he’s in Mexico. Surprise, surprise.

I set up my TP today and the only problem is the touch (which was fixed with patches and kernals), but typing is still an issue (multiple characters)
