webOSRadio #15: Attack of the wet noodles

We’re not gonna lie… some podcasts are more fun to record than others. This was one of those.  By the prospects of webOS 2.0, we dive right into our question of the week: which feature of webOS 2.0 excites us the most?

From there on, it’s apps and news galore.  We had some very slight audio issues in this episode (won’t happen again), but you can forgive us that, right? We think you’ll enjoy it and no worries, we already smacked each other plenty with the proverbial wet noodle on the show. …You’ll just have to listen in to see what we mean.

We finish the podcast with your e-mails. Keep ‘em coming!

UPDATE: In the podcast it was strongly implied that audio recording would come to PalmFlashCards. Let us clarify: that means web-based recording, not from the device itself (yet). Thanks to James Harris (the dev) for pointing that out. And of course, if you really want voice recording right now, there are ways of doing it.

webOSRadio #14: The Podcast No One Ever Heard

Well wouldn’t ya know it, the day after we record our weekly podcast (it took a lot of effort, believe us!), Palm goes out and announces all the goodies that are coming with webOS 2.0! No worries, because for the three of you who listen to this podcast, you’ll find we managed (as always) to put together a pretty interesting episode.

After bashing Ryan for saying Angry Birds was “meh,” we go on to tackle the question: what makes a good mobile game?”

App reviews, homebrew news (we’re overclocking at 1 GHz, people!!!), and webOS news take over from there. Check it out.

Quick correction: during the podcast we imply that Compcache is automatically enabled in the new version of Govnah… actually, we pretty much declared it. Well, we were wrong. To enable Compcache (so you don’t get the Too Many Cards error!), you have to tap Profiles, Advanced Settings, Compressed Swap…  then turn it on! Sorry for any confusion.

WOR DevCast #4 – App Analytics (Meep, Meep)!

Date: #4 (Wednesday, August 25th)

Synopsis: This episode will focus on app analytics and what to do with them.

Special Note: We call this episode #5 in the broadcast. There are actually reasons behind this, but we are really just going to blame it on the fact that Greg doesn’t know how to count.

webOSRadio #13: Keepin’ it Classy… Sorta.

Welcome to webOSRadio’s new time! We switched things around because it works with people’s schedule a bit better. Hope you don’t mind!

This week we have another newcomer with us. Jesse Mendoza has been a contributor for a few months now and our new recording schedule allowed him to take part for the first time. Welcome Jesse!

Our question of the week is “What do you want in webOS 2.0 that is not in the current version?”

Other than that it is appalicious with a good helping of homebrew and news thrown in for good measure. As a bonus, you will also hear what a bunch of webOS geeks sound like when they see who wins Miss Universe that night.

Enjoy!
