Top Pick – Shopping List

Remember the days when you had to have a paper list to keep track of what to buy? That is sooo 2009, or maybe 2008. I don’t know, but it was probably a long time ago.

These days you can use your super phone to keep track of things and make your life a bit easier. Now I have reviewed several of these apps, so I feel as though I am becoming somewhat of an expert. What I have found when using these different apps is that anything the developer can do to lessen the number of taps it takes to do something, the better it would be.

This is why I am such a fan of Shopping List. Adaptive Code seems to have gone through the same thought process to remove as many taps and typing as possible. Things such as the preloaded up store (over 600 items in that thing!), auto-complete, and the template lists all make it easier and faster to use.

Adaptive Code has really done a great job with this, and it is easy to recommend it as a Top Pick.

Shopping List Review

Well the Christmas season is finally over…my wife and I actually just took down all the decorations this evening in fact (an interesting task when you do it with a small child let me tell you). However, just because you are done buying Christmas presents doesn’t mean you aren’t shopping. This is America baby! We always find a reason to shop!

So, today we have a new tool that can help you stay organized: Shopping List by Adaptive Code (formerly Mojo Apps). Now I have reviewed several apps like this, and my current favorite has been easyShop because of its simplicity, but I have to say, Shopping List has taken the lead. Why? Actually the two apps are very similar, but Shopping List keeps the simplicity, but adds a few features that really kick it up a notch (or maybe two).

GiftJammer Review

Every year around this time (and my birthday) my family asks the question “what do you want?!”. I can always count on that question being asked, but when is another question. Some family members are very organized and ask several weeks in advance, a few ask me the day before, and, no joke, I get asked by some after the event has taken place. Ahh…family.

So to answer this question, over the last few years I have employed websites to help keep track of things for me. So from a personal perspective, GiftJammer really hits the spot, and while I think AppJammers has done a nice job here, I am practically salivating at the prospect of more features…but I will get to that in due time. Dealert Review

Its the holiday season as we all know, and once again that means the shoppers are out. To help them out there are lots of shopping helpers on the App Catalog. Earlier we reviewed easyShop and TealShopper, and today we are adding to that list Dealert. Now it is a different beast than the other two because instead of organizing your shopping list, this app helps you find the items you want to buy on the cheap.

Dealert is by Kevin Foreman and costs $1.99 on the Catalog. The purpose of this app is to hunt down the items you want to buy for Christmas (birthday, bar mitzvah, etc.) and try and find the best deals for them. What this boils down to is basically two pieces: the stores and the deals hunter.

TealShopper Review

In the spirit of Christmas today I am going shopping…again. Today’s review is for TealShopper from TealPoint Software. It costs $4.95 on the App Catalog.

A few days ago I reviewed (and really liked) a similar app called easyShop. They both serve the same purpose (keeping a shopping list), but TealShopper could easily be seen as easyShop’s good looking, buff big brother.

Overall TealShopper has a lot more features, looks a lot better, and is more customizable. Interestingly enough, which one is better will depend on what you are looking for. Before we go down that path, lets take a look at what TealShopper has to offer.
